Enzo Caputto Andreetta was born in 1988 in Caracas, Venezuela.
Enzo Caputto Andreetta is an architect who graduated in Caracas. From a very young age, he developed an interest in acting and drawing. It was only after beginning his professional career as an architect that he decided to study acting. Drawing, on the other hand, had been a hobby of his since childhood.
In mid 2015, different reasons lead him to make the decision to change his life and move to another country. This process has had a strong impact on his life. Following a series of events, he decided to channel his experiences and express his inner conflict in his own way. His love of drawing and passion for acting led him to convey his personal struggles on paper through lines and colors.
His journey in drwaing inspired his own story, but he knew that he was not the only person who has suffered life changes; as such, he considered the importance of others who can identify with his art. All the changes he had expereinced influenced his ability to adapt and understand life through the dialogue of thoughts.
Thus his interest in visually expressing mental processes was born; giving shape to something that is not tangible because it is within each being.
Capand Art
Taking the pseudonym Enzo Capand makes designs inspired by his story and his own processes but in a way in which the public individually indentifies.
Through lines, he generates a metaphor for life representing the organic and at the same time the orthogonal, because life is structured by all systems that compose it. However, the thought is a mixture between something natural and something created. The designs are both abstract and literal.
His technique consists of drawing continuous lines—initially horizontal and vertical—and later introducing curves as an essential element to convey additional meaning. Working entirely freehand, he creates a variety of forms that reflect the underlying structure of the organic world while exploring themes inspired by the enigmatic processes of the mind and human thought. By extending and merging these lines, he creates an intricate, labyrinthine mechanism in which finding a way out is no easy task.
Every thought is a distinct world and every thought has a reality; but human beings do not always convey what the thought means and it remains hidden and woefully mute.
And this is how voice is given to those thoughts, drawing solid lines and giving life with colors that harmonize accents marked on each piece.
